About Garden Lakes
Garden Lakes was born out of Charles Keating’s vision more than 35 years ago. The first master plan in Avondale, the community was envisioned to become a serene waterfront oasis in the desert, a family living community nestled among the farmlands of West Phoenix, offering natural beauty and a connected, village experience for neighbors.

In the early days, residents would greet each new day by watching the crop dusters fly above the neighboring farms. In the wake of the Savings & Loan crisis, however, the project was sold before Keating’s vision was realized.

Today, the Board of Directors is committed to promoting its hometown environment where neighbors take care of neighbors and realizing the community’s original vision of becoming a beautiful, thriving desert oasis that offers natural beauty and a welcoming lifestyle where all ages can experience life and enjoy each other.
